I knew Dorothy from Trinity United Church in Kitsilano. Such a lovely, lovely woman. I remember telling her I was one of the few people I knew who liked Cornish pasties and she brought me a home made one the very next week! She often had something interesting to share with the church community. I was surprised to hear of her passing - brings a lump to my throat.

Dear Susan and family,
I am so sorry for your loss and I will miss your beloved mother Dorothy very much. We spent many pleasant times together at her favorite bench overlooking English Bay. We had very enjoyable conversations over the years and she was always very appreciative of the music that I played with my friends at that location. I always found her to be a fine person and a gracious lady and she will be missed. Here is a short clip from last year with Dorothy close by as usual.

I will always remember Dorothy's lovely smile and sense of humour when she came weekly to my fitness class. She also enjoyed bringing stamps and envelopes to my husband, Bob, a stamp collector since childhood. We will both miss her very much.
