Services for Dorothy H. Connole, 83, Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Davenport, will be 11 a.m. Friday in the All Faith Chapel of Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.
Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where there will be a prayer service offered at 4 p.m.
Dorothy died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at Hernando Pasco Hospice Center, Hudson, Fla., after an extended illness.
Dorothy Helen Urmie was born Nov. 21, 1919, in Kewanee, Ill., to Asha and Katherine (Assalley) Urmie. She married Maurice C. Connole in May 1957 in Pella, Iowa.
She previously was employed by the A&P Grocery Store in Davenport. She moved to Port Richey with her husband, Maurice, in 1983.
She was an excellent homemaker and wife. She very much enjoyed cooking, sewing and reading the newspaper daily.
Memorials may be made to Hernando Pasco Hospice, 12139 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, FL 34667.
Survivors include her husband, Maurice; a stepdaughter, Rosemary Whitting, and her husband, Alan, Davenport; a step-grandson, David J. Swanson, and family; sisters, Frida Grimm, Sara Struve, Joann Struve, Bertha Paustian, May Mowry and Nancy Urmie; brothers, Louie Urmie, Bob Urmie, Raymond Urmie, John Urmie, Mike Urmie and Phil Urmie; and sisters-in-law, Alice Wingert and Mary Petersen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Urmie.
