Sallie Love

My memories are mainly from childhood at my grandparents home on Lake Murray playing with her children (my cousins) I loved watching her swim! Such a strong graceful swimmer. Her presence at family gatherings were always a hoot... funny, poised & stylish is how I remember Aunt Dotte. I always admired her individuality & confidence and the unwavering love she had for her husband and children. Condolences to my cousins, family and friends. Love her niece Sallie.

When I first started dating Evan in December of 2018, she welcomed me into her home for a Christmas party! In 2022, she played a major role in celebrating and hosting my first ever baby shower for our first son Evan Jr.

One summer, Bubba and Dot took me to an excellent lunch at Ruby Tuesday and then she dropped Bubba off at home for a nap while we went to see a movie. Her smile and laugh were infectious and I will never forget the time we were able to spend with her.

Dotte was a unique and special woman. Unique in that she was not afraid to be herself. She was strong, creative, bold, and yet vulnerable by sharing her life with others. She didn't take offensive easily and never wavered from her convictions. She put her heart and soul in all she aspired to do and the people she loved. We had a mentorship program at our church and she was my mentor. That was a very special year. The program didn't continue but the relationship did. I will always cherish that time of encouragement and prayer that I received from a great servant of her LORD. She will be missed but take comfort her influence lives on. Love you Dotte. Debby

I met Dottie when she was my Sunday School teacher at New Heights. She was a wonderful teacher and a godly woman.

Amy, I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. I hadn't seen her in years but remember her warm smile and bright eyes. She would always hold my hands when she spoke or talked to me. She was a beautiful lady and touched many lives at Chapin Baptist Church when she was there.
I know you will miss her greatly. I will be praying for you and your family.
