Dorothy L. "Dode" Dunnom of Arlington Heights Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy L. "Dode" Dunnom will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Harvest Bible Chapel, 800 Rohlwing Road, Rolling Meadows, where she will lie in state in the chapel from 10 a.m. until the time of the services. Burial will be in Randhill Park Cemetery, Arlington Heights. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights. Born August 29, 1926, in Kansas City, Mo., to Burrell D. and Betty (nee Williams) Cook, she died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at Manor Care in Arlington Heights. Mrs. Dunnom was a homemaker and then worked in the secretarial field before retiring in 1990. She was an avid reader and she loved to shop and spend time with her family. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Judith D. (Dale) Boelens; grandchildren, David (Tamara) Boelens, Jeremy (Melissa) Boelens, Samantha Boelens, Courtney Dunnom and John Dunnom; her great-grandchildren, Christopher, Nicolina, Jason, Michael and Abigail Boelens; niece, Marcia Peco; and former daughter-in-law, Debra Dunnom. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Jobe; son, Robert "Skip" Dunnom; grandson, Matthew Boelens; and her siblings, Burrell W. Cook and Mary Wheeler.
