Dorothy M. (Lindsey) Fantucchio, age 93, of Quincy, died peacefully, Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Hancock Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Quincy, in the comfort of her loving family.

Dorothy was born in Milford, to the late Harold J. and Amelia (Brenna) Lindsey. Raised and educated there, she was a graduate of Milford High School, and was voted Best Dressed for the Class of 1949. After marriage and a baby, she moved to Quincy, where she lived for the remainder of her life.

Although Dorothy was primarily a dedicated homemaker and mother, she later worked for many years at Haemonetics in Braintree, a medical technology company. As a young woman, she and a cousin were hairdressers and owners of their own beauty shop.

Dorothy was a woman of faith and a longtime parishioner of Saint John the Baptist Church in Quincy where she served as a religious education teacher for several years.

Most of all, Dorothy's passion was for her family. She was a quiet person, devoted to her husband, children and later to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, supporting all their many activities and accomplishments. She was a very generous woman to her family, to others and to charitable causes.

Beloved wife of Alphonse S. Fantucchio, to whom she would have been married seventy-one years this September 6.

Devoted mother of Marlene N. Steger and her partner Glenn Fritz of Westborough, Joyce M. Flavin and her husband James of Canton, Alison M. Buckley and her husband Franck of Bridgewater.

Loving grandmother of Jessica Perry and her husband Adam, Adam Steger and his wife Erin, Keith Flavin and his wife Susan, Ian Flavin and his wife Sarah, Kerry Flavin, Brian Buckley, and Jennifer Buckley.

Cherished great grandmother of Akiva, Azalea, Maeve, Mason, and McKenna.
