DOROTHY FORESTER Obituary

   SEGUIN - Dorothy "Nell" Forester, 74, of Seguin, passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, in Seguin. Nell was born Jan. 5, 1936, in Luling, to Lila Lee Ussery and Dorothy Lee Bazaar Ussery.
   Nell was voted Freshman Favorite in Luling High School in 1952. She married her high school sweet heart Walter Robert Forester on Aug. 2, 1952 in the First Christian Church in Luling. The couple lived in the Middle East for nine years and she traveled the globe visiting 38 countries. Nell was baptized in the Church of Christ in Kennedy and was a member of the Central Church of Christ while living in Victoria.
   Nell had a passion for the outdoors, spending many hours fishing and hunting with her husband. She especially loved flower gardening and watching all of the birds that made their home in her backyard.
   Nell is survived by her adoring husband of 58 years, Robert Forester of Seguin; daughters, Bridget Moore and husband Ellie of Stockdale, Lila Georgie of Austin/Victoria; sisters, Bobby Whitely of Refugio, Lila Lee Tiller of Luling; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jean Tolhurst.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at 10 a.m. in O'Bannon Funeral Home in Luling with the Rev. Jimmy Lammers officiating. Interment will follow in Luling City Cemetery.
   The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, in O'Bannon Funeral Home.
   Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011, or Guadalupe Regional Hospice 1215 East Court, Seguin, Texas 78155.
   Services are under the care and direction of O'Bannon Funeral Home, Luling.
