Cora DEPRIEST Obituary
News Death Notice
DEPRIEST, Cora L. 72, of Springfield, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. She was born on December 16, 1939, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Alma (Whaley) Brown. Cora was very explorative and was very proud of her scuba diving trip to the Great Barrier Reef at the age of 64. She loved sewing, quilting, gardening and anything that involved the outdoors. Cora is survived by her children, Steven Jordan, Charles Jordan, Mollie (Jeff) Davis and Laura Lee Yeazell; grandchildren, Jeanna, Steven, Katherine, Carley, Emma, Hannah, Sarah and Rachel; three great-grandchildren, Carter, Caitlynn and Ashlynn; siblings, Robert Brown Sr., Mary (David) Engle and Terry (Cari) Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Jordan and sister, Sarah Jane Hennis. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME-Springfield.
