PALM BAY, Fla. - Dorothy (Dennett) Pszonowsky Hayward, R.N., 94, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 14. 2011 in Palm Bay, Fla.

Born in Concord, November 20, 1916 to Linn and Grace Dennett of Barnstead.

Graduating from Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing in April 1938, a Registered Nurse, she had a long nursing career in hospital care, private duty and a school nurse.

She married Joseph George Pszonowsky August 1942, son of Nicholas and Mary Pszonowsky of Providence, R.I.

Dorothy lived in North Kingstown, R.I. until her husbands death. She married Chesley Hayward of Loudon and wintered in Deerfield Beach, Fla.

Dorothy was preceded in death by Joseph Pszonowsky, Chesley Hayward and son Michael G. Pszonowsky.

She will be greatly missed by her surviving children Roger Pszonowsky and wife Rhonda, of Palm Bay, Fla., her daughter Susan Gibson and husband John of Valley View, Texas.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 29, at 11 a.m. The First Congregational Church in Pittsfield.

Donations may be made to the Pittsfield Rotary Scholarship Fund, 32 Manchester St. Pittsfield, N.H. 03236.

Roger, Susan and families, my thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
When growing up in Quonset Manor, North Kingstown, RI, it was "nurse" Dot that our parents would consult when one of us kids got sick or injured.
