Dorothy Meno Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 16, 2024.
Dorothy "Debbie" Meno was born on March 25, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan. She was the daughter of Dr. William A. Kutner and Dorothy Adelhauser. Throughout her life, Debbie touched the hearts of many and left an indelible mark on those who knew her.

Debbie's legacy lives on through her loved ones. Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Skip Meno, who misses her already. She is also survived by her three children: Heather Stull (Chris), Zachary Meno and Whitney Brennan (Steve); six grandchildren: Elijah, Sicily, Maya, Sophia, Jasper and Griffin and her siblings: Dr. William Kutner (Linda) and Dr. Mark Kutner (Rita), sister-in-law Ann Battle (Art) and predeceased by her brother David Kutner.

Debbie's journey began in Dunkirk, New York, where she attended Dunkirk High School. She had the opportunity to live in multiple cities in the United States, where she embraced life with passion and joy. Debbie made a loving home everywhere she lived and enjoyed raising her children and watching her grandchildren grow. She was a generous and loyal person who excelled at many pursuits. Debbie had incredible creative talent and loved making things in her kitchen, garden and sewing studio and sharing her creations with others.

She was a brave and selfless soul, always putting her family before herself. She was confident in who she was and humble in how she lived. Despite her battles with cancer and Parkinson's disease, Debbie lived life to the fullest.

Debbie's favorite times were the beautiful moments she shared with her family and friends. Her family feels fortunate to have had such a wonderful wife and mother. She was the backbone of our family and her presence is greatly missed. As we remember her, we find solace in knowing that Debbie is finally at peace. The Celebration of Life will be held on June 29, 2024 in San Diego.

We are so sorry. If you've ever met Skip, you'll recognize the author of this lovely obituary about the Loved One. The last time I saw Debbie was on a Sunday morning at a Chargers Track Meet. Heather and Zachary were toddlers. I don't think Whitney had arrived yet. The family stopped by the clerk who was on her knees on the infield, seeding runners from 3 x 5 cards. They passed a few kindly words and left Manley Field House for the remainder of the Family Sunday.

Debbie was one of my best friends beginning in second grade at School #4 in Dunkirk, NY. We kept in touch over the years and I miss her immensely. So many memories! Thinking of Skip, Heather, Zach, and Whitney. Much love to all. Erlene
