Dorothy Morgan-Down Obituary
Port Huron - Age 96, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 5, 2020.
She was born on September 29, 1924, in Henry County Alabama, daughter of the late John W. and Lillie (Thomas) Reynolds.
Mrs. Down worked in retail for many years and lastly worked for the Council on Aging. Nell loved gardening and attending church. She was the oldest living member of the Metropolitan Baptist Church.
She leaves to mourn her passing a sister, Mrs. Gwendolyn Kennedy, of Fort Gratiot; several nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Morgan; second husband, Charles Down; brother, Howard E. Reynolds; and sister Martha L Frizzell.
Private family services have taken place. Interment took place at Woodland Cemetery in Port Huron Township. Arrangements were entrusted to Smith Family Funeral Home of Port Huron.
