Dr Rhodes was my beloved pediatrician growing up. I'm also a McLeod, and I remember him giving me gas money to get home. My mother was at work and my sister had hit her head after she'd had an aneurysm and brain surgery, so I was terrified. I'm pretty sure I was 15. I've spoken with her son "Mac", and he's a perfect gentleman. I always wanted to meet Dorothy, the matriarch of such a wonderful family. My most heartfelt sympathies go out to her children and grandchildren, who undoubtedly have the most beautiful memories of their grandparents!

So sorry to hear of Mrs. Rhodes passing. For us kids that grew up in the 60's and 70's in the Crescent she was like another mother to us all. We have just about lost them all now. My deepest condolences to one of my longest friends Malcolm as well as Ann and Mac.

Very sorry to learn of the loss of Mrs. Rhodes. She and her husband moved and shook the entire community. Her support of too many causes is repaid with the admiration of all she helped. She shared stories of McLeod Lumber Company, its challenges and many successes from her early days. God bless the family, many friends, and all those she helped.
