Mrs. Dorothy Schilling 05/12/1924- 11/25/2022.
The world lost an incredible, strong, 98-year-old woman. Our loss is heaven’s gain.
Dorothy was married to Louis F. Schilling Sr. for 49 years. Their first date included a motorcycle ride, horseback riding and a picnic. Dorothy loved and took great pride in their family together. She had 5 children, 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She loved baking and cooking. She was passionate about house cleaning. She believed that cleanliness was next to Godliness. She loved music, bingo and sitting in the sunshine. Dorothy was known for her quick wit and sense of humor. She taught anyone who knew her that anything worth doing was worth doing well. She taught us to speak our minds, as she often told people exactly what was on hers. She was respected and loved by many.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Fredrick and Alma Wynn, husband Louis F. Schilling, Sr. She is also preceded in death by her sisters Marjorie Westell, Phyllis Harney, Beverly Casey, son Allan D. Schilling, daughters Emma Jane Schilling, and Janet S. McElhinny. She is survived by Louis F. Schilling Jr (Gail), and Alma Jean Chrzanowski (Ray).
The family would like to thank the staff at Orchard Manor for their care, friendship, and love.
Remember take off your shoes, and always make your bed.
