Stan Maupin's condolence re: Dorothy says it all, almost, for my line of Maupins.
My added comment is my great appreciation to Mrs. Shaffett for finding the "Lost Maupins". They had gone long ago to Middle Tennessee and Texas, and were added to Dorothy's last edition(2000). One more comment to her family--my husband looked at Dorothy's photo and said, "WHAT a lady!" Character and sweetness do shine through. Blessings on each one of her family.

My best wishes and a heart felt "thank you" to Dorothy's family for sharing her with the rest of the Maupin family for so many years. Her memory will be with us every time we think about our family history.

Her book is sitting on my coffee table now having just sent some information to my brother. I only met her once at the Maupin reunion in Futon, but I will never forget her enthusiasm for family history. she is being mourned by hundreds of Maupin cousins.

I was one of Dorothy's caregivers at Providence Place, and just learned of her death over the weekend.
Dorothy and L.D. had a wonderful relationship, and it was great to see them together every day - rain or shine, and sometimes in the snow! Though Dorothy did not always verbally communicate, she made me smile every day I worked with her.
She will be missed on Earth, but is enjoying the glory of Heaven!

Dorothy was quite a gal! We enjoyed many great times with her and Sam! She did so much good for the Maupin family history! She touched many lives with her love for life!

Dorothy was my oldest and dearest friend. She stood up with me at my wedding. We have shared many great times together. I will miss her. Condolences to her family. I am sorry that I cannot be there to tell her goodbye.
