Dear Walter, Alex and family, I have just learned of Dorothy's death. She was a wonderful person and supportive friend. I always enjoyed our working together in the past and appreciated her honesty, humour and joie de vivre. I was unaware of her cancer illness. My sincere sympathy and prayers are with you all during this sad time. RIP my friend.

Dear Family,

Our deepest sympathies for your loss, Mrs Skakoon was our teacher at St. Alexander, it was her strict adherence to her values that brought out the best in my brother and I. She was one of our favourite teachers there, she often told my mother that we reminded her of her grandsons. In our home she was a greatly respected teacher and will not be forgotten. Dorothy always had you in her heart. She was a treasured staff member at Glengarda. The obituary described so very accurately. There was never any doubt where she stood on any issue.
