NORMAN ANDERSON Norman Bruce "Pop" Anderson, 60, husband of Mary Frances Turner Anderson, died March 11, 2013 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, April 10, 1952, he was a son of Martha Fortson Anderson and the late James Arnold Anderson. Norman was a graduate of Greenwood High School Class of 1970 and had worked at Greenwood Mills for 42 years, most recent years at Harris Plant. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather as well as a loving son and brother. Norman enjoyed getting together with his family, gardening and watching NASCAR. He was a member of Harris United Methodist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home and his mother of Greenwood are his twin sons, Ron Anderson and wife, Temple and Don Anderson and wife, Jamie all of Greenwood; two sisters, Susan A. Billen and husband Jerry of Hodges and Carol A. Wiggins and husband Charles M. "Charlie" of Cookeville, TN; his grandchildren, Taylor and Tabitha Anderson and Lauren Anderson and his mother-in-law, Gladys W. Turner. He was predeceased by his grandson, Ashton Anderson. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. J. William Harris and Rev. Curtis Eidson officiating. Burial will be Oakbrook Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Terry Creswell, Mike Creswell, Gene Munns, Claude Cartledge, Morris Dorn, Greg Sears, Harrison Billen and Mike Cain. Honorary escort will be Mike Saggus, Sammy Bagwell, Matt Shannon, Larry Smith, "Chopper" Gary, Chan McCutcheon, James Fain, Sammy Hollingsworth, Jack Butler and Ronnie Butler. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30 to 8 Tuesday evening. Memorials may be made to Harris United Methodist Church, PO Box 50781, Greenwood, SC 29649.
