Dorothy Upp Obituary
LANCASTER: Dorothy L. Kiger Upp 91 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Fairfield Medical Center.
She was a Lancaster High School Graduate class of 1940. She was a member of Fairfield Christian Church, Pickerington Senior Citizens Center and Sugar Grove Senior Citizens. In 2014, she was inducted into the Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Kim L. (Danial) Sells; son, Mike (Alma) Kiger all of Lancaster, Ohio; four grandchildren, Danial (Sara) Sells, Thea (Brandon) Pulsinelli, Rachel (Rodney) Carpenter, and Michelle (Richard) Rezentes; 18 great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Dorothy (Eugene) Hill of Lancaster, Ohio; step-grandchildren, Chris Hill and Issac (Janet) Hill; Three step-great grandchildren; sisters, Hazel L. France of Peoria, AZ and Martha Ann (William) LaVeck of Heritage, TN; special nieces, Georgia Murphy and Denise (Don) Beckley along with several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gerald Kiger and Charles Upp, infant son, Larry, infant daughters, Beverly Kay and Gay Lynn, step-grandson, Jordan Hill, aunt and uncle, Fannie and Art Robinson, brothers, Robert, Richard, James, Tom, John, Joe, Floyd and Chuck Smith and sister, Norma J. Fischer.
Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. No calling or services to be observed.
Memorial gifts may be given to the Olivedale Senior Citizens Center, 253 Boving Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or Fairfield Christian Church, 1965 N. Columbus St., Lancaster, Ohio 43130 in her memory.
