Dorothy J. Wells

Dorothy J. Wells, 84, of Dunbar, WV, passed away Monday, February 9, 2004, at her home after a long illness. She was a homemaker and a member of Christ the King Church in Dunbar. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard W. Wells Sr., and a son, Edward Joseph Wells. Mrs. Wells is survived by her sons, Barney Wells Jr. of Culloden, WV, and Tim Wells Sr. of South Charleston, WV; daughters, Cathy Carr of Dunbar and Peggy Gallups of Cross Lanes, WV; brothers, Jim Bohr and Ted Bohr, both of Louisville; sisters, Mary Catherine Wells of Louisville and Margaret Carpenter of Gainesville, FL; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2004, at Christ the King Church, 1504 Grosscup Ave., Dunbar, with Father Richard Chirichello officiating. Friends may call from 4-7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2004, at the church. Committal services will take place on Friday, February 13, 2004, in Grandview Memorial Park in Dunbar. The procession will leave the church at 10 a.m. Friday. Arrangements are in the care of Keller Funeral Home in Dunbar. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Mrs. Wells' name to Christ the King Church, PO Box 68, Dunbar, WV 25064.
