Dorothy Whitcomb Obituary

Dorothy A. Whitcomb, 79, of Hamilton, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Hamilton Grove. Born in Perth Amboy, Dorothy worked as a nurse and home health aide and was a longtime active member of the Central Baptist Church in Ewing where she volunteered as an Awana Club leader. Dorothy enjoying gardening and was a loving and devoted grandmother.
Daughter of the late Harold and Mary Deter, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald F. Whitcomb. Dorothy is survived by her son, Donald Whitcomb Jr.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Jonathan Hoops and Tracy and Thomas Karas; her sister, Frances Drummond; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral service will be held 11:30am on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Central: A Christ-Centered Church (formerly Central Baptist Church), 2015 Pennington Rd, Ewing, NJ. Friends may call 10:30 am until the time of service at the church. Interment will follow in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's New Jersey, 425 Eagle Rock Avenue, #203, Roseland, NJ 07068.
