Doug LEARD Obituary

Published by Saskatoon StarPhoenix on Feb. 15, 2017.
Doug Leard
March 19, 1967 - February 12, 2017
With saddened heart I announce the sudden passing of my everything, my rock… my dad, Doug Leard. Dad was predeceased by his father, Jack Leard and mother, Noreen Neudorf. Dad will be missed terribly by his sisters Joanne and Bonnie, his brother Les and sister-in-law Millie, along with his wonderful girlfriend Jo-Ann Hong. He leaves behind numerous family members and close friends, including his exceptional Trimac family. You would never drive by the copper mug and not pull in to see him laughing with a whisky in his hand and a crowd of friends surrounding him. Dad was an avid fisherman, and he could be often found at the lake, or hosting his parties, he was always so full of hospitality. Dad your humour and genuine personality will be forever missed and I'm going to make you so proud. A Memorial Service will be held at Park Funeral Home, 311 - 3rd Avenue North, on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery to follow. To share condolences and Memories, visit www.parkfuneral.ca "Obituaries-Contribute". Arrangements are entrusted to Derryl Hildebrandt, Park Funeral Home, 306.244.2103.

To all of doug's family.
I didn't know the day he walked into Trimac in 1988 that he would become such a special friend and along with him his whole family would become some of the most special people in our lives .Brittany Your Dad was a special special guy and I have lots of memories I will hold on to forever. My biggest regret is not taking enough time in the last while to take off riding or go for drinks when he called and said lets go.It was always lets try again tomorrow or next week.I guess We all thought we had a lot more of those with him.I will miss him dearly and will never forget him.

To the Leard family,
So sorry to read of your loss. I believe you lost you Dad at an early age too. My mother was Lillie (Leard) Milne, daughter of Lewin so a cousin to Jack. I must be a third cousin to Doug. I go to Victoria every winter and always spend time at the lovely bench on the harbor placed in memory of Jack. This year I'll be thinking of your brother, Doug as well. Blessings.

To Brit and the family.
This is a terrible loss. I'm not sure why the good people are always taken way to early. Doug was a Great father and friend to all that knew him. Halie was sharing a story with Brit the other day about when they would dance and Doug would pick them up on a Saturday and pretty much take them where ever they wanted to go. The mall, ice cream what ever the girls wanted, Doug was there to please. Also to see Doug pull up in front of Sitters on his bike and his little girl would jump off. That put a smile on the Doug's face. Brit you where you Dads EVERYTHING!!!.
