I worked with Doug at Honda and remember how easy he was to work with whenever we had problems with our supply chain. Doug loved his family. It was evident in every conversation, there was no mistaking how much he loved you all. I am so very sorry for your loss.

My name is Tim Geitner and I work at AAM (formally Metaldyne in PA). Doug's position as our supplier contact allowed me the honor to meet him and eventually we become good friends outside of work. He was a pleasure to work with as he was very patient and taught us much about the Honda way. But more importantly, Doug would tell me about how much he loved his family. I remember how excited he was when his grandchildren were born as he would send me pictures. I would do the same with pictures of my grandchildren around the same age.

As a Penn Sate fan, we had a long standing bet that would include if OSU won, he would bring a jersey for me to wear among my peers. Likewise, if PSU won, I would have a jersey for him to wear when he visited us. However, I would take a picture and send it to his work peers.

Doug was a special person and I will always remember him. I will miss him very much.

I remember Doug as a hard-working student/athlete on Worthingway Middle School's football team. He was a significant contributor to the success of the team and he also played a significant leadership role on the team as well as with his fellow students in school. I consider it a privilege to have worked with him.
