Douglas Brown Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jul. 19 to Jul. 25, 2023.
Wallingford - DOUGLAS BROWN (Uncle Doug), 73, of Wallingford, CT departed life on July 9, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Kim Brown, who held his hand until his last breath. Doug was born in Boston, MA on August 21, 1949 to the late Robert Brown and Nathalie Brown (Foster). He is predeceased by his daughter, Heather Brown.

Doug served in the Army as a medic at the Valley Forge General Hospital in Phoenixville, PA and earned the National Defense Service Medal and the Sharpshooter Badge. Doug was an avid motorcyclist who rode to visit his friends in Vermont for many years. Doug worked for Blonders, Chuck & Eddies and most recently he worked for H.U.D. as a H.U.D. inspector.

Doug is also survived by his son Eric Brown (Alex), his Stepson Ski Padgett (Blanky), and his Stepdaughter, Andrea Atkins (Allen), grandchildren, Tori, Joshua and Ella, his Sister Diane Ladouceur, his Brother David Brown, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Hartford Hospital Hospice team for all of their help and his daughter-in-law, Blanky, and cousin Debbie Empronto for their loving care.

Graveside services will be held on July 27, 2023 at 12 p.m. at the State Veterans Cemetery on Bow Lane in Middletown, CT.
