Our prayers go out to the entire Busby Family. Doug was indeed one of the special people that I looked up to in Warrensburg when growing up. Those days at Russell Brothers, going canoeing/camping and riding in his 442 listening about those harrowing and heroic days in Southeast Asia and the football exploits were special times. Doug was an over achiever and will be missed by all.

I had the pleasure of knowing doctor Busby since 1985 when our family moved to Jefferson City from Joplin, MO. Doctor Busby was an active supporter of the Nichols Career Center Program of Dental Assisting. Many students from the dental assistant program for more than 21 years benefitted from serving internships at his office. After retiring from the program in 2003 my contacts with Doctor Busby decreased in frequency. When our paths crossed he always had a smile and a warm greeting for me. Doctor Busby was a positive influence in the community and his family can be proud of his contributions to it.
