DOUGLAS JEROME CUNNINGHAM

CUNNINGHAM, DOUGLAS JEROME Douglas Jerome Cunningham, age 72, of McCalla, AL died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in Tuscaloosa, AL. Mr. Cunningham was a native and life long resident of Alabama and resided in McCalla, AL. He retired from Hardie Tynes and later worked with Wackhutt Security. He served in the United States Army for thirteen years where he was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served two tours and also served two tours in Germany. Mr. Cunningham was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Central Park. He is survived by his wife, Jean Carol Cunningham of McCalla, AL; one daughter, Brenda Gail Haynes(Ricky) of Greenpond, AL; one son, Douglas Jeffery Cunningham of Foley, AL; three grandchildren, Chris Haynes, Regina Tucker, and Christopher Wiggins; two great grandchildren; twelve step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Ann Miller(Don) of Clanton, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest J. and Roberta Galimore Cunningham; two brothers, Gerald and Herschell Cunningham. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. from Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Graveside. >
