Loving husband for 50 years of Mickey McTaggart; devoted brother of Pam Kemp, Eric Eckert, and Cindy Brown; son of the late Roy and Dorothy Eckert; dear uncle, cousin, and friend.
Doug was the smartest person in the family. He was a jack of all trades. He will be dearly missed by all.

Mickey, Pam, Eric, and Cindy, I am so saddened to hear of Doug's passing. Our families took different paths, but I think of you often and smile with the memories. Doug is one of a kind, a friend to all, and will be sorely missed.
God Bless you all.

We still needed you but God had other plans. Our worst day was your best because you got to meet Jesus. You were my "baby bread n bruder". Not such a smart big sister at 2 was I. I will miss you until we meet again in heaven. Hugs and love for Mickey.

My condolences for Mickey and all of the Eckert Family. I will always remember some of the card games I was able to play in and Doug and Roy were unbeatable and they knew it and made sure I knew. A super guy that will be Missed.....
