Douglas HOBSON

Doug was a friend from University and was a big part of my life for many years. I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. My sincere condolences to Doug's family. Please know that Doug will live on in the hearts and memories of so many...he was a great friend, a kind man and someone who I am proud to have known. May you Rest in Peace Doug.

My condolences to all, Doug was an amazing guy. Enjoyed working with him at REAL in the Crown Room.

An amazing young man who's life on earth ended way too soon. We are sure Doug will shine as bright in heaven as he did here on earth. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

You don't realize how much of an influence someone is in your life until you realize he is not there to receive a text message. I have really taken his friendship for granted. Condolences to Raelene and the Hobson family, Doug is a tribute to how wonderful your family is.

I am so sorry to hear about Doug's untimely passing. I got to know Doug quite well when we worked together on a geological survey crew in northern Saskatchewan during three months in 2000, when he was still a student at the U of R. I remember him as someone with remarkable work ethics, a good sense of humour, a great listener and generally just a really nice guy. We had a great summer together and I will hang on to those memories forever. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. He will be missed.

Due to age differences and physical distance, I never got to know my young cousin Doug. But I well recall the strong love and intense pride that his late grandma Dorothy had for him; their's was a truly special and unique bond that made a lasting impression upon me. So too did the dazzling fight Doug put up against the most daunting odds anyone could ever face. Those who did know Doug are lucky indeed.

I very much enjoyed working with you. Lots of laughs were had. You will be missed.

Dougie. Words can't express enough how shocked I was to hear of this from Kyle. We were a terrible trio through high school and some of my fondest memories will always be of our "escapades" and our blatant thumbing of our noses to "the man". My sincerest condolences to your loved ones. You will be sorely missed.

It saddens me to hear of Doug's passing. I think of the good times we had growing up in McLean and going on band tours in high school. Doug was a great guy and he will be missed by all who knew him. My sincerest condolences go out to his family.
