As the one year anniversary of Doug's passing approaches, I remember him as my first roommate at MMA in 1975. May your fond memories of Doug bring you peace, and the love of God bring him joy.

My thoughts are with the Howlett family. I knew Doug since our days at Maine Maritime. We spent many an hour making the trek to Castine. He was a great mentor, pilot and friend. We will miss him.

It is a very sad and sorrowful time when a mother has to bury her son. As a mother my heart and prayers go out to the Howlett family. May the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort strengthen and comfort you during this most diffult time.
