He taught me everything I know in veterinary medicine and is the reason I became so passionate in the field. I will all remember him throwing charts and yelling what in the Sam hell, and how caring he was when I had a major stroke at work and he had to help pick me up off the floor. I truly loved this man

It will never be the same around here! We have lost one of the kindest, most respected truly caring and devoted gentleman with the sad and untimely passing of Dr. Douglas C. McKee. God made a wise decision when he made Doug McKee a Veterinarian, specializing in the caring of small animals--and giving him that special gentle concern, understanding and ability to ease the pain of the masters when even his great skill and ability could not keep the cherished pet alive. He cared for my family's much-loved pets for 33 years. We're truly grateful of those time he's helped us through some very painful situations, too. He was our friend and will be greatly missed--but never forgotten. May his family take comfort in knowing the devotion of his many, many patrons and friends whose lives he touched.

Dr. McKee and Family. My deepest sympathy on your loss. I was saddened to learn of the death of a dear, dear man. He was our vet for many years. A gentle man, kind and very thoughtful. After the death of one of our Golden's, he made a donation in her name to the vet college. We were most grateful. He will be missed. (Nancy, Ranger and Riley)

Please accept our most sincere sympathy in the death of Dr. McKee. He was our trusted vet since 1978 and to learn of his passing fills us with sadness. Dr. McKee's first concern was always what was best for the animal. We have truly lost a real friend and he has left a place that can never be filled. We have never known a kinder, more considerate person. The McKee family is in our thoughts and prayers and those of so many others who share your sorrow.

Our thoughts are with all the McKee family. We moved to orange park in 1969 and had just got a puppy. She would not eat and it was a Sunday, we called Dr. McKee's number and he came to his vet office and helped us with our puppy. We will always remember his kindness and gentle way he was with all the animals he took care of. Thank you

I knew Dr. McKee from age 11; he treated our many family pets since he opened his practice in the early 60's. Last year I returned to Orange Park after being away for 26 years and it was great to find Dr. McKee had not retired.

I took my two dogs to him and he was the same gentleman, he remembered my family and treated my dogs with skillful care and attention. I was sorry to learn earlier this year he was ill and closing his practice.

He will be missed for his great love of our pets and devotion to their care. The loss to his family must be very difficult, they have my heartfelt condolences.
