Douglas Meeker Obituary
BELLEFONTAINE - Douglas Anthony Meeker, 53, of Bellefontaine passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at his home. He was born in Bellefontaine to the late Henry Junior and Eleanor Louise (Muth) Meeker. Doug was also preceded in death his brothers, Richard "Eddie" Meeker and Henry J. Meeker.
Doug was a graduate of Bellefontaine High School and Urbana University. He worked at the Stolle Corp. in Sidney and later was a manager at Revco, K-Mart and Big Lots. Doug enjoyed cooking, reading, watching movies and was known for being quick-witted.
Doug is survived by his siblings: Michael T. (Shirley) Meeker, Mary Patricia (Paul) Frost, Diane (Bob) Oliver, all of Bellefontaine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family graveside service will be held at Oakdale Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5455 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43214.
