Resident of Fremont
Doug, 81, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024 at his home in Fremont, CA. Doug was a veteran of the US Army having served in Vietnam. He was a devoted family man and was held in high regard by everyone who knew him. He loved to fish and spent nearly 60 years attending an annual fishing trip at Lake Almanor with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing golf, card games and was a fan of both the SF Giants and 49ers.
Doug is survived by his children Gloria Marrin, Cheryl Carey, Luis Castillo and Suzanne Masukawa (Mack); his grandchildren Keith Marrin, Nicole Linsenbigler (Mike), Courtney Carey, Vanessa Franco-Castillo and Grayson Cooper; and his great grandsons Airik and Koltin Linsenbigler.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Ricki and Joe for their care of dad during his brief illness.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor Saturday, February 15th from 4 - 7 p.m. at Cabrillo Park Cafe, 4949 Stevenson Blvd #L, Fremont, CA 94538. Family and friends are invited to attend.
