TIMMS, Douglas George St. George's Choir - Kingston, ON Queens Alumni - Kingston, ON Squadron Leader/Major - RCAF Senior Public Servant - Transport Canada Choir Master - St. Aidan's Anglican Church - Ottawa, ON Pastoral Care Team - Ottawa Hospital In hospital, peacefully, with his family by his side, Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at age 84. Beloved husband, best friend and loving companion for 58 years of Patricia (nee Drysdale). Loving father of Stephanie Savage (Paddy), David (Cathy) and Greg (Janet). Cherished grandfather of Heather. Predeceased by his parents George and Rilla and sister Lois. Doug was a spiritual man who loved his family. His affiliation with the Church, Choir and Music were a very important and integral part of his life. He touched the lives of so many and was quick to care for and take care of many in need. The family would like to thank the caring nurses, doctors and staff at the Ottawa Hospital, Queensway-Carleton, Blackburn Lodge and Carleton Lodge. Friends are invited to visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road, (at Aviation Parkway), Ottawa, Friday, January 7 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. Aidan's Church, 955 Wingate Drive, Ottawa, Saturday, January 8 at 2:30 pm. Contributions in memory may be made to the Patricia and Douglas Timms Fund care of the Community Foundation of Ottawa, 301-75 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1P 5E7; by cheque payable to the Community Foundation of Ottawa or online at www.cfo-fco.ca

Dear Mrs Timms and family,
I am so sad for your loss.
I am blessed to have had one last Good talk with Mr. Timms a few days after his stroke. Fr. John and I rushed up to see him and lucky me, it was a good day for Mr. Timms. We shared laughter and good old stories of the ten years we shared together in Pastoral Care Services while you served for the Anglican Team together with you Mrs Timms.
Thank God I had Mr. Timm's as my mentor, he was my coach. He thought me everything about Pastoral Care. Thanks to him we had 24hrs Anglican Priests on call for the General Campus hospital. I considered you two as family ...Thank you Mr. Timms for accepting me into your lives.
