Fred Whyte sent me a copy of Dr. Gyorfi's obituary and I wanted to express to his family our sincere appreciation for all that he did for Scouting and for the hundreds of youth who would have benefited from the time and skills he gave to the program. It is because of the dedication of men like this that Scouting is able to shape the leaders of tomorrow. On behalf of the organization and all those youth, a profound thank you for making a difference.

Rick our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of loss. Fathers are role models, idols, pillars of strength that we often times take for granted while we are busy in our own lives. It is on reflection that we connect with all they have done and brought into the lives of everyone they touched. Jodi and I offer our condolences to you and your family.

Our sincere condolences go to the Gyorfi family. We didn't have the pleasure of knowing Nick's grandfather, but we know and love Nick, and can only imagine how blessed he was to have such an incredible man as 'Big Papa' in his/their life.

Jan, Patricia, Rick, Steven, Craig, Dennis, Peter & Family,

My deepest condolences on Dr. Gyorfi's passing. I have fond memories of "the gentle giant," as I remember him as a child, on Harbourview Drive and my visits with Patricia to Lake Ainslie. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you at this very sad time.
