Dr. Caleb Jewette King

I met Cal many years ago when my friend Jerry introduced us. Jerry had known him since childhood. Later I needed a periodontist and chose Cal. He was the best! In 2003 Cal joined my group of friends as we traveled to Fiji, NZ and Australia. He joined again when we went to India and Nepal, Africa, Amazonia, and Cuba. I admired Cal as a periodontist and as a person and friend who shared my love of travel. I will miss him greatly.

This was one of many wonderful travels that we enjoyed together and others with my wife Carolyn. I had the good fortune of many years of close friendship with this wonderful man and have lost one of my best mates. The obituary speaks volumes as you all know how much he touched anyone whom he met, be it as a mentor to a student or those lucky enough to count him as a friend. He always had time for anyone and was so caring and generous to all those he met. Both Carolyn and I mourn his loss but know that his legacy will live on in all those he touched. His impact on the world both in his work and in the example he set for us all is far reaching and will continue long after his passing.

Will miss you Cal. You were in inspiration in the gym.

Cal has been my neighbor for the three years I´ve lived at Oak Hammock. He has been instrumental to me with his dental knowledge. We often spoke of our love for orchids. I will always remember him.

He was one of my best friends. I miss him terribly already.

Very sad to hear this news....he was our dentist for over 35 years!
