I am almost 70 years old and was fortunate enough to have this compassionate physician as my doctor. He took care of my horrible migraines as well as other needs and made my life so much better. He was a brilliant man and it certainly showed in his care for his patients. I was so saddened when he left Nashville and so saddened by hearing of his passing. Heaven has a brand new Angel.

I have many wonderful memories of Howard and especially his contagious laughter and kind heart. Howard was a man of rare talent as a physician and worked hard all of his life to achieve his goals and dreams. He was devoted to those he loved and he added so much to the lives of his patients and friends.

I extend my deepest sympathy to Edna during this difficult time and wish her peace that she has never known. Her love and devotion to Howard has always been deep and an example of true commitment.

It is with deep sadness that I say goodbye to my friend, Howard. I will never forget and am grateful for the many wonderful times we all had together. I love you both.

Dr. Pomeroy was one of the most devoted physicians I have ever known. I have quoted him so many times from the days when he taught my nursing class Pharmacology at the Old Nashville General Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. Our class loved him so much. When I married, he became our family doctor for many years. My husband, Alan, and I have never forgotten how he worked with my OB to get me through a very difficult pregnancy. He and Edna cared about every patient with the old fashion TLC that seems to be missing today. There is no doubt that a choir of angels came to greet him. Nickie Sedivi Lancaster, RN, Hermitage, TN
