Our sincere condolences! He was a wonderful doctor and man who always took time to listen to his patients as well as treat them. He was truly one of a kind. Tom & Denise Staton

Dr McCoy was my primary physician for several years after my retirement from the Air Force, up until his retirement. I learned to value his opinion and advice and, he kept me as healthy as my aging body would allow. Above all, he always struck me as a genuinely kind and good human being. He will be missed. Rest in peace, Jimmy McCoy.

I'm so sorry to hear of Dr. McCoy's passing. I will be forever grateful to him for when my daughter was having trouble with her elbow. He sent us to a specialist in SA who told us after examination that her growth plate her her arm had been damaged and would probably stop growing. She was only 12. I called Dr. McCoy in tears and he would not hear of it. He immediately got on the phone and found another specialist who saw us in days and gave us a much better outcome. A week later Crystal had surgery and the bloodflow was bought back to her elbow. Dr. McCoy care so much about his patience. He was a gem.

Oh McCoy family I am so very sorry to hear this. What a man he was. I have so many lifetime memories with you guys, from playing with Evan on North Englewood, parent's drives out to "The Strip" to pick up beer before a storm was coming in, visiting in Boerne, Austin's wedding, and your lifelong friendship with my parents. It was at your house when I was in college that I learned how to play pool with Jim's instruction. I remember we were listening to "Turn the Page" by Bob Seger and I was watching Jim and just thinking "wow, he's so cool". Jim was such a gentle, loving, and well-respected man. I know he will be sorely missed. Much love to you all from Shannon (Guthery) Edwards
