Drema Sanders

Mrs. Drema Sue Sanders, age 76, passed away on March 27, 2025, Born on March 21, 1949, in Ohio, she lived a life marked by resilience and deep devotion to her family. Most of us called her Nanny.

Drema was the beloved daughter of the late Opal and Army Conley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sanders; her granddaughter Amanda Hensley; and two great-grandsons, Wesley Nelson (Bean) and Cole Carroll.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Opal Gomez, and son-in-law, Carlos Gomez; her son, Greg Hensley; and her grandchildren: Mia Gomez, Kristen Carroll, Chad Croft, Josette Hensley, Kayla Hensley, Brittany Hensley, Jeremy Hensley, Corey Hensley, and Gregory Hensley. Drema also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Hensley, Gabriel Potts, Rilei Western, Shelby Carroll, Jaxson Santiago, Josiah Santiago, and Jalen Santiago.

Her brother Pete Conley of Staffordsville, Kentucky survives her as well as her niece Fonda Lumbreras; great-niece Katie Lumbreras; and great-nephew Kody Lumbreras.

Drema faced many health battles throughout her life with unwavering strength and determination. Despite these challenges, she found joy in life's simple pleasures. A devoted thrifter and yard sale enthusiast, she delighted in finding hidden treasures. She took pride in caring for her home and yard in Mulberry-especially the flowers and plants that filled "Nanny's Garden" with vibrant color. Her home radiated warmth and comfort-a reflection of the love she cultivated within its walls.

Those who knew Drema will remember her as a gentle and kind soul whose love for family and friends never wavered. Her presence brought comfort to many lives through shared laughter and enduring affection. She always knew what to say when advice was needed. She was a rock to so many people.

May her memory bring peace to all who knew and loved her. We will forever and always miss her.
