Our Momma, Drucilla Yarbrough Wilson went to be with Jesus on Saturday Feb.16th 2013. Momma didn't "leave us" ,she will never leave us because Momma has been our whole heart for 45 years, she lives in us all.She has loved us selflessly and unconditionally, she has hugged us through our laughter and prayed with us through all of our joys and sorrows. You see, Our Momma has been the solid foundation that every family needs, but for our family? She is more. Momma raised five children celebrated the birth of eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Momma was raised in a small country town in Ga.in a large family on a farm where she grew up learning the value of the word family. She gardened, picked cotton and learned the true art of country cooking at the side of her Mother. She loved to cook, whether it was fried apple pies for her Brother's or a simple breakfast of biscuits and gravy. Rest assured there would always be plenty if someone dropped by. Being the country girl that she was, she loved growing her own garden, canning and sharing the "fruits of her labor"… and a tomato or two with her neighbors and Friends. And If you got a jar of Momma's jelly or a dish of her Holiday goodies, you were simply part of the Family and always invited back. Momma was the true meaning of LOVE. She taught her children to love everyone, be honest, work hard and love Family. If you knew Mom, you knew what it was to be Family and be loved. She never loved "just a little", she always loved BiG! Momma is survived by 5 children: Charlotte Tondre (Donald), Sarah/Sally Sharp, Barbara King (Ron), John Wilson, Todd Wilson (Paula), eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by three Sisters, Robbie Daido, Lillian Green and Judy Callan (Earl) and two Brother's Joe Yarbrough (Loverne) and Malcolm Yarbrough (Charlotte). She is predeceased by her Parents, one Sister, two Brother's a daughter and one son in law. There will be a service in San Antonio Friday, February 22, 2013, 1:30 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home (7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd., San Antonio, TX 78239). She will then be transported to Ga. for her final homecoming. There will be a final service and interment Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at her home Church, Oak Hill UMC. The Ga. arrangements are under the direction of Mason Funeral Home (320 Hwy. 48, Summerville, Ga., 30747). In lieu of flowers, Momma asked contributions be made to the Diabetes Association. Both Chapel Hill and Mason Funeral Homes will have memorial pages set up tomorrow afternoon for you to share your memories of our Momma.
