I miss you so much Dad .... I know you are always with me , walking beside me even though you are with the creator. Your birthday just went by and I went to call you even though its been 9 years :( I have your pictures hanging on the living room wall and they often bring me happy memories even on my worst days . I am so grateful that you chose to be our dad . I love you so much xoxo

So many years have passed but I still miss you so much. You asked me if I wanted you to send me a sign that you had crossed over and that you were okay. As arranged I received that message, it gave me so much peace. So thank-you for that and for all the years and all the memories we made together. I know that we will see each other again. I love you.

You gave your life me. You understood and comforted me in my worst times. You worked so hard and tirelessly your whole life to care for and raise me. Words cannot describe the respect I have for you. I will honor my promise to you and give my life for my family. I think about you every day. Your in my heart forever.

Dear Wendy and family,
Some of the coolest memmories I remember were riding horses with Duane and we would go visit the neighbors with the Chinchilla's. I have fond memmories of playing in the tree house (giant mansion). There was also the time the boys dug a gigantic hole, it looked as though they were digging a hole to build a house then they diverted a creek to fill it with water so they could put fish in it. (there was some deception used in getting help in digging the hole, you must get the whole story from David). There was also this one time we took a drive in the pasture, we took the CAR for a burn in the pasture driving as boys do, you know how it is driving fast, getting air here and there, it was a blast but all came to an abrubt end when uncle Lawrence intercepted us. One last memmory etched in my brain is when David was chasing me around the house with a moose head, I was scared to death I finally ran into Duane at the bottom of the stairs and he protected me and the nightmare was finally over. These are just a few of the fond memmories of my cousin Daune.

My first memory is probably from the house on 88th Avenue before Uncle Lawrence built the big house. I remember going over to watch wrestling on the TV...we did not get a TV until I was 6...sometime in 1969, we liked the midgets and Jean Kiniski. I remember making home made ice cream and helping to churn the cream. I remember that Duane & David had an entrepreneurial spirit, I helped them pick dandelion's that they would sell to some one to make wine. Duane is the one that taught me to play checkers. I remember helping feed the pigs in the barn, Uncle Lawrence would bring home bags of food that the kids would throw out, whole apples, oranges and sandwiches', the pigs were well fed. Duane liked to cook I remember him baking cake and making 7 minute frosting, I also remember Auntie Lottie teaching us both how to make bread, knead it til it squeaks, she would say, when I do have the time to make buns I have always thought of them both. I remember David scaring the daylights out of me in the barn and if memory serves correct I think he caught Duane & I smoking, perfect children we were not. I remember climbing way, way, way up into a tree house that the boy's built at the back of the property and I remember riding a small Shetland pony under the power lines. I think we made one trip to Saskatchewan together as a family the Nordli's the Hanson's and the Johnson's, they had a truck & camper & we caravanned all the way. Our Mothers both became ill as we became teenagers and our lives' changed. Our fathers were now single parents and did not have the time that they had when they both had wife's. They found it difficult to keep the family ties strong like they had been and I am so sorry that as an adult I did not do more to know the Man that meant so much to me when I was a child. Rest well Duane. Love your cousin Elva

We can't know why some things happen, but we know that Love and Memories outlast the pain of grief. And we can know that there is a place inside the heart where Love lives always, and where nothing beautiful can ever be forgotten.
With Deepest of Sympathy,
