Dustin Giroux Obituary
SACO -- Dustin M. Giroux, 25, of Saco, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, in Sangerville.
He was born on Sept. 24, 1984, in Portland, the son of Andrew Giroux and Carole (Walker) LePauloue. He was educated in Saco schools and graduated from Thornton Academy with the class of 2003.
Dustin along with his father, Andrew Giroux, had owned and operated A & D Giroux Heating and Oil Burner Service. Dustin played hockey with the Biddeford Little League and later was a member of the Thornton Academy Varsity Squad. He also played softball with a men's league in Saco. He loved motorcycles and the freedom of riding.
He took every opportunity to show photos of Dustin Jr. and of his Bulldog, George. Dustin loved hosting backyard bonfires and lived for the moment, wanting to see and do everything.
Preceding him in death was his father, Andrew Giroux, of Saco. Surviving are his bride to be, Ashleigh Dixon of Saco; his son, Dustin Marshall Giroux Jr. of Saco; his mother, Carole Lepauloue of Saco; one sister, Vanessa Lepauloue of Orlando, Fla.; maternal grandmother, Gloria Walker of Ocean Park, paternal grandparents, Arthur and Nancy Giroux of Saco; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visiting hours will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at Hope Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at Most Holy Trinity Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Saco. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. To share condolences online, please visit www.HopeMemorial.com.

Bucky and I send our condolences to the entire family. My girls grew up with Dustin and we all used to go to Unity and go hunting. Andy and Dustin were wonderful, loving people and will be sorely missed.

My condolences go out to the families of Andy and Dustin Giroux. My thoughts are with you all in these times of sorrow. I went to school with Andy who I remember as a very kind, giving person with his larger then life personality and recently got to know Dustin preparing for his big wedding day! Whenever he talked about his son, Dustin Jr. his eyes would light up with excitement. It was evident Ashleigh was the love of his life and he was ready to settle down and spent the rest of his life with her. I feel privledged to have been touched by their lifes. My prayers are with you all!!!! My heart goes out to Ashleigh. Be strong.
