Mr. Dwayne Mesecher
Galesburg - Mr. Dwayne E. Mesecher, 62, of Galesburg, Illinois died 4:00 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born April 21, 1959 in Galesburg to Edgar and Mary (Van Winkle) Mesecher. He married Sue E. Kaletsch, June 24, 1994 in Knoxville, Illinois. She survives.
Also surviving is his father, Edgar "Bud" Mesecher of Galesburg, a son, Kyle (and Kristie) Spencer of Galesburg, three daughters, Rachel (and John) Stanley of Wataga, Illinois, Ashlee (and Michael) Coyle of Alexis, Illinois, and Kaylee (and Brendan) Poole of Galesburg, twelve grandchildren and two great grandsons. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Mesecher and two brothers, Harry Brockunier and Terry Brockunier.
Dwayne graduated from Warren High School in 1977 and Carl Sandburg College in 1979. He was the body shop manager for 20 years at Yemm Chevrolet in Galesburg. He later was an auto appraiser for Country Insurance for 19 years. Dwayne was a softball pitching coach. He loved coaching his daughter and the Knox County Crush Softball team.
Cremation will be accorded. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Knox County Crush Softball team. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
