Dwayne Morrison

Dwayne Morrison was the youngest child of Mary Morrison Faulcon and McKinley Morrison. He transitioned to glory on February 13, 2023. He was born August 3, 1959 in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Dwayne attended Portsmouth Public Schools until he reached High School. He graduated from High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. He received his B.S. in Nursing from George Mason University and his Master's Degree in Nursing from Troy State University.

Dwayne was honorably discharged as a 1st Lt. in the United States Army. After employment with the state and federal government in the nursing field, Dwayne started his own business, Morrison Comprehensive Learning Center, LLC.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his Mother, Mary Morrison Faulcon and his father McKinley Morrison; his brother McKinley Morrison, Jr. (Evelyn); his brother Garry Lee Morrison (Faye); his sister Nannie A. Williams (Bruce).

Dwayne is survived by his loving daughter, Alexis Morrison; his fiancé Inez Craig; his sister Apostle Dr. Emma Jean Thompson (James); his brother the Honorable Johnny E. Morrison (Honorable Cynthia P. Morrison) and his sister Lillian Joyce Brown. He is survived by an uncle, Joseph Bernard and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Fisher Funeral Home located at 1520 Effingham Street, Portsmouth, VA on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 12 noon. He will be entombed at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, Chesapeake, VA. www.fisherfuneral.com
