E. Hallam

Lifelong local resident Mr Eness (Eni) Hallam (60), of Beechwood Court, Skegby, was cremated at Mansfield after a service at the crematorium chapel.

Born at Skegby and educated there at St Andrew's School and Hillocks School Sutton, Mr Hallam had worked at Ashfield Dyeworks, Teversal, Sutton and Sherwood Collieries and for George Neville Transport.

He was a keen gardener and Manchester United Football Club support.

Mr Hallam, who died at his home, eaves two brothers and two sisters - Gladys, Julie, Geoffrey and Peter.
