E. Ramsey Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 11, 2015.
E. Blaine Ramsey, Jr. CHARLOTTE - E. Blaine Ramsey, Jr. passed away on May 30, 2015. He was a resident at Southminster. Blaine is survived by his wife, Shirley; by his son, the Rev. Mark Blaine Ramsey (Cheryl); and his granddaughter, Bridget Ramsey. Also surviving are his sister, Marion Ulfers and her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Ian Campbell and their sons. Blaine was born in Fairbury, IL, the son of Elmer B. and Aldine Ramsey. He was a graduate of Univ. of Iowa School of Law and practiced law in Illinois for 25 years prior to moving to Charlotte. He served in the Army Air Force as a weather man. Blaine's happiest days were when he and Shirley purchased Trexler World Travel Service in Charlotte. They had a wonderful staff whom they appreciated. After a period of adjustment in a new business they enjoyed many years of world travels and made many friends in the industry. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 13, at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Blaine's wish was for memorials to be given to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3115 Providence Road, or to the Southminster Community Fund, 8919 Park Road. Robertson Funeral and Cremation Service is serving the family, www.throbertson.com.
