I was so sad to hear of Eugene's passing. He was truly one of the nice guys that one will meet in life. We know what God's Word teaches about seeing love ones again in the resurrection, so we all have hope of seeing Eugene (Gene) again. may our Father in heaven continue blessing all love ones and friends.

I was privileged to play Senior softball with Gene while my wife Jane and Sandy sat in the stands and talked. Gene was the consummate team mate! He was a slick fielding shortstop and was probably our best hitter. He was always positive and never critical of his teammates no matter how many mistakes or errors we made. Jane and I know how much the family will miss Gene and pray that God will comfort you as you deal with the loss of such a fine man and loved one.

My husband Wayne Bennett worked with Gene on the MPD. Have never known a more congenial and genuine person than Gene( aka "Snake"). So sorry for the family's loss. Sandy, I know your heart is broken. May the God of all comfort give you strength to bear the loss of such a fine man and faithful husband.

One of the first people I met when I came to Macon In 1970 and started with Macon PD. I really enjoyed being around and working with Gene while at Macon PD sharing my
career with his, as well as his career with Allstate Bonding Company. A great guy. To Sandy and family, my deepest sympathy.

I am so sorry to have heard of Gene's passing. I have known Gene since I was 10 years old. His mother kept me and my brother when we were kids living in Felton Homes. Gene was a fine man and a fine Police Officer. He served our City well in his career. He definitely was an asset to this community. I'm also thankful for his service to our country serving in the U.S. Army.
Our hearts go out to Sandy and their family.
May our Lord give you peace and strength during this time and the days ahead. Love you guys.
