Earl E. Eberlin, age 90, passed away on August 19, 2024.

Earl was born in Evansville, Indiana on June 8, 1934.

He was predeceased by his wife Wanda Lee McKinney Eberlin, Father Edward Eberlin and Mother Lena May Milam Eberlin and Sisters Bonnie Eberlin and Betty Eberlin Dunham.

Earl is survived by son David Eberlin (Marla) daughter Teresa Salichs (Joseph) son Kyle Eberlin (Julie). He had eight grandchildren, Christopher Crowley (Jessika), Ryan Eberlin (Heather), Lisa Seale (David), Travis Eberlin, Jeffrey Overcash (Angela), Jonathon Salichs (Masayo), Jenna Salichs Fleenor (Brian), and Collier Eberlin Earl had 10 Great Grandchildren, Logan Eberlin, Easton Eberlin, Cohen Crowley, Teller Crowley, Kinley Seale, Jaylee Fleenor, Brennen Fleenor, Brooklyn Fleenor, Dean Eberlin, and Carter Eberlin. Earl also had 1 nephew Jason Todd Merrick (Beth) and 1 great nephew Mason, and 2 great nieces Reilly and Chloe.

Earl worked as a newsboy for the Evansville Courier and Press from the time he was 9 years old until he was 16. He then worked at a Shell Gas Station at Columbia and Main streets until he graduated from Central High School in 1952. He worked at several manufacturing facilities in Evansville until he volunteered for the draft into the U.S. Army in 1954 and after basic training and special schooling served as a Cryptographer in the Ninth Corp. Headquarters in Sendai, Japan until 1956. He married in 1956 and moved with his wife Wanda to Hollywood, Florida where they were residents for 40 years. He worked for the City of Hollywood for 15 years starting in 1956 and being promoted up the chain of command of the City beginning as a Sewage Treatment Plant Operator, Incinerator Foreman, Superintendent of Sanitation, Public Works Director, Director of Utilities and Deputy City Manager. He left the City of Hollywood employment in 1971 and joined Waste Management Inc. a nationally known organization where he later became a Corporate Vice President and Regional Manager of the Southeastern United States. He retired in 1982 and later in 1995 moved to New Smyrna Beach, Florida where he and Wanda lived for 10 years. In 2005 they moved to Newnan Georgia and have lived until 2022 when he relocated to Charleston, SC.

Earl thanked the Lord every day for his wonderful life, family and friends. He often said, for reasons unknown the Lord had abundantly blessed him.
