Earl J. Lewis

LEWIS, EARL J., 87, of
Orlando, Florida passed away on June 7, 2009. He was born on July 16, 1921, in Bayard,
Iowa, the son of the late Earl and Elma Lewis. He was raised on a farm and worked alongside his family raising cattle and growing crops. After graduation he served in the Air Force during WWII, including time spent on Iwo Jima. He met the love of his life, Ruby, while stationed in Florida. They married and raised their three children in Orlando. He worked for Square Deal
Machinery and was a retiree from the Postal Service. He and ruby invested in real estate over the years and built many homes in Orlando, helping families with housing. He was an enormously strong and supportive father to his children, tremendously loving grandfather and great grandfather. His faith was as a
Jehovah's Witness. He is survived by children, Jerry Lewis, Connie Bearden (Ernie), Ken Lewis, grandchildren Tara (Casey), Deanna, Jamie, Sarah (Jose), Ashley, Adam (Kassi), Kailey (Coltan), Justin, Cody, and Cheyenne, great grandchildren Austin, Tyler, Leilani, Elijah, Brooke, and Kayden. He was predeceased in death by his wife, Ruby and granddaughter, Brooke, sisters, Lessie, Lula, June, and Alice. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at WOODLAWN
