Earlene Checketts Walker, 80, of Kernersville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025. Born in Brigham City, Utah, on December 6, 1944, she was the youngest daughter of Earl Andrew and Leora Baugh Checketts. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Jean, Wayne, Patricia, and Dee Checketts. She was also proceeded in death by her daughter Shelly Walker.

Earlene worked as a civilian airplane mechanic at Hill Air Force Base and was known as a gifted public speaker. She celebrated holidays and her family with boundless enthusiasm.

She is survived by her daughters Polly Duncan (Todd) and Reneé Herrington; grandchildren Cody Marble, Colten Marble (Shawn), Kyle Duncan (Jason), Autumn Tew (Austin), and Austin Reneaujacobs; and great-grandchildren Catherine, Rayen, Georg, Oliver, and Daylen.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
