The extended O'Hare family of the late Eddie O'Hare would like to express their sincere thanks for all who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement.
A massive thank you to Dad's carers over the years Anne, Bernie, Sarah, Wilma, Sinead, Annette and Patti Ann who have all been so attentive, kind and professional and played such an important role in Dad's life, especially since Mum died.
To the doctors and nurses from Oakleaf medical practice, especially Dr. Nicola Duffy - thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your attentive professionalism and care all the way until the end.
To the nurses that attended Dad at home over the years, and during palliative care, thank you all so
much for all you have done for him.
To the staff at O'Hare's Chemist, the business may not have been Dad's anymore, but you all treated him like it was and we all appreciated that.
Thank you to our numerous neighbours, of whom there are too many to list. We wish to make special mention of Charlie & Sylvia O'Donnell, who were great and caring friends to Dad; he always loved to see you coming. To Anthony, who as Eucharistic Minister brought Dad spiritual comfort every week, thank you.
Our gratitude extends to Fr. Shaun, for tending so compassionately to Dad's spiritual needs and for the beautiful requiem mass; also, to the musicians Sarah and Damien, for their glorious music both at the requiem mass and at Dad's graveside, thank you.
To the presenters at Drive 105 especially Felix Healy for the daily craic you brought to Dad's life in person and on the radio, thank you.
We thank Dad's bridge club members from the City of Derry and Northwest bridge clubs for the many decades of fun and friendship and his rubber bridge partners at home in recent years.
We also extend our thanks to Bradley & McLaughlin's funeral directors for their dignified professionalism.
Our heartfelt thanks to our extended family and friends who travelled to pay your respects to Dad, especially his brother Jack and family from Armagh, Brighton, Edinburgh, and Cheshire. To extended family and friends travelling from Garron Point and Belfast, to name but a few; it meant so much to us all.
To all who helped with food and refreshments, especially Paul Slevin, we extend our gratitude from the bottom of our hearts. And to all who have contacted us on the phone, sent a card, said a prayer; your support helped us through our difficult times, and we are very grateful.
Thank you also to Derry City Football Club and all its supporters for the kind applause and standing ovation recently at the Brandywell stadium.
Finally, to our parents, Eddie & Sally and our brother Paul, who are together again with God. You taught us all many lessons in life, except how to live without you. It is harder than we could ever have imagined. You are all forever in our thoughts and our prayers, Rest In Peace.
