Edith 'Joan' Gauthier, 63, of Junction, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 5th, 2025.

Joan was born March 8th, 1962 in Kaplan, LA, the daughter of Rudy Guidry and Marie Annie Lou Simon.

She graduated from Indian Bayou High School in 1982.

Joan married John Gauthier on October 14th, 1998 in Kaplan, LA.

She was a homemaker and especially loved her fur babies, enjoyed gardening, needle point and crocheting.

Remaining to cherish Joan's memory are her spouse, John A. Gauthier, daughters Laura Roddy and Regina Roddy. Stepson Aaron Gauthier, Stepfather Larry Abshire. Grandkids Cassidy, Leonard Jr and Kenny Trosclair, Ames & Levi Daly and Gavin Gauthier. Siblings Rudy Guidry, Anthony Abshire & Robin Abshire

She was preceded in death is her father Rudy Guidry, mother Maria Annie Lou Simon and sister Pricilla Ann Guidry.

A private service will be held at a later date in her home state with close friends and family.

Memorial donations can be made in Joan's memory to Make A Wish foundation or St. Jude's.

I will miss your calls and the way you always loved me.. thank you for all the yours of being my sister from another when we said forever we meant it!! I will miss your laugh the most and your wild stories but I know your dancing in a new body.. RIP Joan until we meet again ily
