EDNA LOUISE (BALSOMICO)
Of Monroeville, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2016, at her home with her granddaughter and caregiver, Robbyn, at her side. Beloved and amazing bride to the late and great Bernard Braverman. They danced their way through life for 66 years. Loving and selfless mother of the late Gerald (surviving Lynn) Braverman and Beverly (Allan Ferens) Braverman; devoted grandmother of Ross William Ferens, Chani Braverman Ferens, Robbyn Lynn Braverman, and Lisa Feyes; great-grandmother of eight; cherished sister of Norma (Carmen) DeLuco; former mother-in-law and lifelong friend of Teresa Braverman- Wilson; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Edna was predeceased by her parents, Dominic and Elizabeth; her brother, Richard; and sister, Dorothy. She grew up in the Larimer area of Pittsburgh. Edna traveled the world and the country for many years with her husband for their business. She loved to dance, do yoga, and advocated for seniors to live an active lifestyle. She is remembered for her remarkable generosity, and supported numerous charitable organizations such as the Humane Society, National Wildlife Federation, National Geographic, and many others. She was an extraordinary cook who often gave gifts of food to friends all over the world. Edna dearly loved music and the Pittsburgh Symphony. Edna was a great lover of animals who rescued many dogs, cats, and birds. She was supportive and loving to everyone who came into her life. Arrangements by JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC.
