I knew Edna for a short time in which I sat with her at Silver Sands. ( I am with Comfort Keepers). Edna and I became immediate friends and through this I know she loved and was loved by many. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to sit with an "angel".

What to say about our dear Aunt Edna? I have many fond memories of her-- childhood picnics with the family, riding in one of her antique cars in the Ashtabula parade as a child, her bickering w/my grandmother, Susan B. Anthony dollars, her cheese balls, her jokes, etc. etc., but mostly her kindness and laughter. She will be missed!

Our sincere sympathy to Edna's Family. Edna worked for my Dad, Bill Metcalf, and I worked with her for a year or two. I have been living in Florida for the past 5 years so have not seen her but we did exchange mail and we talked a few times. Janice & Jon de Ridder

We were so sorry to hear that Edna has left us. Even here in Florida we have been praying for her. We remember a time a while back when Edna was late and wouldn't join her Sunday school class for a breakfast in the dining hall so Paul picked her up in his arms and carried her into the room to a chair. That was the only time we remember seeing Edna speechless. She was a ton of energy and love in a small package and we will greatly miss her.

Edna & I were friends for over 50 years. She was one of the greatest friends I ever had. She was always generous, thoughtful, and a happy person to be around. I will miss her terribly. My condolences to her extended family.

My sympathy is extended to Edna's family.

Over the past years I have become a friend of Edna's because she was a very close friend of my Aunt, Mae Rubenstein.

Edna and I have had many phone conversations over the past few years with lots of laughter and tears on my part. She knew my Aunt so well and was able to fill me in on many years of Aunt Mae's life.

I have come to love your Aunt, as I did mine, and I know you are going to miss her very much.

Thank you for sharing Edna with me over the past few years.

Love to all of you,

Duane Bogart

I was a car saleman in the early 70's when Edna came in to take a new Oldsmobile for a test drive. We were traveling north on Rt. 11 at 50MPH approaching the Crows Nest when she couldn't find the brake. When we finailly stopped we were in the parking lot. Everytime we saw each other after that we would have a good laugh.

Edna was a remarkable woman. I hope I can do the things that she able to do at her age. She was very friendly and always said, "Hello" when she would drive by our house on E. 39th St. She always complimented about our flower garden how beautiful it was. She will sadly missed and may God bless her family always.
